Day 1 Guilin-Longsheng

Pick up service can be arranged at Guilin train station or Guilin International Airport in the morning, our Guilin local guide will meet you at the exit with a welcome sign "China Private Tour". Transfer you to Longsheng county from Guilin directly. It takes around 3 hours by driving.

Upon on your arrival, our guide will take you to your hotel in Longsheng. The rest day is free on your own to explore Longsheng county or take rest in your room. If the weather permits, you can choose to visit the magnificent sunset over the glorious terraces. 

Day 2 Longsheng-Sanjiang

After breakfast, start your Longsheng Rice Terraces & Minority Tour with our guide. Firstly, you will go sightseeing at Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces which have been called "an absolute one under the heaven and the first one in the world”. The magnificent terraces look like silver belt in sprit, green wave in summer, golden tower in fall and dragon plays in water in winter. climbing up to the top for stunning views and great photos. 

In the afternoon, spend your time to explore the Yao and Zhuang Minority Village where you can feel the real life of locals, learn about the ethnic culture there. You will experience the village of Red Yao people's community, which is surrounded by beautiful forests.

After the tour, transfer to your Hotel in Sanjang.

Day 3 Sanjiang-Zhaoxing

After breakfast, our guide will take you to explore the Sanjiang county. Home to more than 200,000 Dong people, Sanjiang is full of the wooden buildings with typical Dong ethnic style. The main buildings are Drum Towers and Wind and Rain Bridges.

Start your tour at Chengyang Wind & Rain Bridge. Constructed with wood and stones, its surface is paved with wooden boards and both sides are inlayed with railings. On the bridge itself, there are five tower-like kiosks with 'horns' and eaves which resemble the flapping wings of birds. To one's surprise, the builders of this bridge did not use any nails or rivets. Instead, talented Dong people dove-tailed many pieces of wood. Though several decades old, it is still very sturdy. 

Next, you will visit the Drum Tower. The numerous drum towers which are built in the center of the Dong villages are the keys to understand the culture of the Dong group. Usually, the drum tower-constructed of wood and built without nails-is the largest multi-story pagoda-like building in the village. Ordinarily, the tower is a place for the villagers to relax, hold ceremonies, greet guests, and do some recreation activities. But it is also used as a meeting room to discuss the important issues of the village.

In the afternoon, take your trip to Danzhou Ancient Town. It is a small island with beautiful landscapes, historical relics and ancient residential houses. Danzhou ancient town is a multi-ethnic villages, it has Miao, Yao, Dong, Zhuang and Han five ethnic groups and as a total of. 1100 people live there. A good place to experience the colorful ethnic atmosphere.

After the tour, transfer to Sanjiang train station to catch your train to Congjiang station (the cloest one near Zhaoxing in Guizhou Province). It takes around 20 minutes by "D" trains. Upon on your arrival, our Zhaoxing local guide will meet you at the exit of the train station with a welcome sign and take you to hotel in Zhaoxing.

Day 4 Zhaoxing

After breakfastm start your adventure to Zhaoxing. Zhaoxing is renowned for its drum towers, which are unique to China. The five towers standing in the village individually represent the five good manners in Chinese tradition, namely benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom, and trust.

Firstly, you will visit the Tang'an Dong village with rice terrace and Dong ethnic Minority museum. Our guide will take you to enjoy the natural scenery of the rice terraces as well as learn about the Dong ethnic culture, history at Dong Ethnic Minority Museum. Feel free to walk around the village to experience the locals daily life.

In the afternoon, our guide will take you to the Basha Miao Village, a hidden kingdom occupied by the legendary Basha Miao people. Enter the Last Gunmen’s Tribe in China and enjoy the Lusheng performance by the men, rice wine presented by the girls, Welcome Ceremony with Guns, Adult Ceremony, Reed-pipe Wind Dance and more. 

After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel in Zhaoxing.

Day 5 Zhaoxing-Rongjiang

After breakfast, continue your Zhaoxing tour to visit the Zhaoxing Dong Village. It one of the largest traditional Dong minority towns in Guizhou. Feel like the clock is being turned back when exploring the 5 Drum Tower, 3 Wind and Rain Bridges, visiting the local market and enjoying the famous Dong Grand Song and traditional local Dong dances.

After lunch, transfer to Rongjiang hotel. The rest day is free on your own to explore Rongjiang or take rest in your hotel.

Day 6 Rongjiang-Kaili

After breakfast, drive you to Kaili from Rongjiang. Along the way, you will visit the Datang Miao Village, also called Xinqiao Miao Village, is another branch of Miao live for hundreds years. This village is special for the unique “miniskirts”, as short as 10 centimeters, that the local women wear all year round. You could enjoy and participate in the local dance in the village square. 

After lunch, go sightseeing at Upper Langde Miao Village is 30 km away from Kaili. Visitors to Langde Village are welcomed by the 12 courses of “block-way” rice wine, then visit the traditional Miao-style stilt houses enjoy sweet Miao folk songs.

Lastly, you will visit the Jidao Miao Village, it remains original and tranquil with idyllic surroundings. Visit Shangzhai and Xiazhai and explore Old Geomantic Trees, time-horned granaries, the Cave of the Immortal, the Footprints of buffalos and Horses and more sites.

After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel in Kaili.

Day 7 Kaili

After breakfast, pay a visit to Matang Village where you can see Gejia group who are not listed into 55 minority groups in China just because of their small population. You will appreciate the traditional Gejia batik in the village, and learn the art of batik.

Next, proceed to visit Qingman Miao Village, where the women wear a kind of traditional short-skirt. In a local household, you may see the traditional way of dying cotton material.

In the afternoon, head to visit the Langde village which is a Miao ethnic village, where you can find classic Miao People architecture- wooden Diaojiao building. Miao people normally live close to a river and surrounded by mountains. Due to the weather in the mountain areas, Miao people use wood to build their house, which is good at ventilated. There are usually three floors in the Miao houses. The first floor is used to feed animals or stock sundries. The second floor is the living place.

After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel in Kaili.

Day 8 Kaili-Guiyang

After breakfast, transfer to Guiyang city ( the capital city of Guizhou Province) for your train or flight to your next destination.
